About Me

Ratika Jain is a Co-Founder and Director at White Owl Advisory.  A Business Economist by training and an international trade expert by practice, Ratika has been tracking the India growth story since 1991.  She has significant experience in supporting value creation and opportunity maximization through scenario analysis, public policy and advocacy, stakeholder management and knowledge-brokering.
Ratika was formerly a Director at Imperial College London, one of the world’s Ieading universities. Her responsibilities included crafting and anchoring Imperial’s strategy of engagement with India and acting as a knowledge broker between Imperial and India. She was instrumental in identifying prospects for multi-million pound research engagement for mutual benefit.  Focus areas/sectors were sustainable energy, especially renewable and nuclear, information technology, engineering and healthcare.
Prior to this, Ratika worked in various capacities at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). CII is India’s premier business association, with a direct membership of over 7800 organisations.  Her last assignment with CII was as Director and Head of the UK operations, based out of London.  Her role involved acting as an ambassador for CII at the highest levels. Prior to that, she was responsible for CII’s operations in North India, covering Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. 
During her professional career, Ratika has participated in UK-India bilateral summits, US-India bilateral summits, the Indo-British Partnership (IBP) and Joint Economic Trade Committee (JETCO) dialogues, WTO Ministerial Meetings in Geneva and Seattle, the Annual Meetings of the World Economic Forum and attended training programmes under the aegis of the Aspen Leadership Institute.
A global citizen, Ratika has grown up in New Delhi and Kodaikanal (India), London (UK), New York (USA) and Sana’a (Yemen).  She is proficient in English and Hindi and is keen to brush up her French, Arabic and Punjabi.
